@Josh is a big fan of Owen. It’ll be a lovely moment of reconciliation to watch.

Top 3 OAT for me. With Taker and Macho Man

Glad to see WWE reverting back to fashion and putting a proper overly produced shit show with a crowd that doesn’t give shit about the ongoing product.

It was fun while it lasted. Back to watching the good stuff on Wednesdays.

Get to the back of the line Randy. Queue is long…
Tbf, Randy has been on the Ziggler train for years but he never outright called Ziggler the best. Glad he did though. Guy is up there with Shawn and Bret for sure. AJ too.

Oh Tony, you certainly know how to play the Twitter game…

You know what I was thinking was another 5-star match?

Canadian Stampede.

The Hart Foundation v SCSA, LoD, Ken Shamrock and Goldust

One of the best crowds ever. Stone Cold ate up all the heat that night and the Harts were icons. Harder to find many bigger pops than Bret’s that night

Great match.

Stone Cold 1997 and Bret Hart 1997 are two of the best individual years of any wrestler ever

You actually couldn’t hear Bret’s walk on music. It was that loud.

Great match. Don’t think Meltzer gave it 5 stars when it should be

You wonder if Bret Hart is underrated these days. For example you never hear anyone cite him as a influence compared to Shawn Michaels.

Some legends were doing Mount Rushmore lists and Bret didn’t make any of them. I know it’s all subjective but it’s quite insane given UNDERTAKER made some of them (I think Hogan’s actually) Undertaker never had a peak like Bret did.

Did you miss Punk crying recalling Bret during the media scrum for Revolution?
Dax Hardwood of FTR (FKA Scott Dawson of The Revival) is the biggest Bret Hart mark there is.
“Bret was right” was trending a few weeks ago too.

I think it’s cos, as @GC-Maniac said, Bret is a bit of a black sheep as far as the WWE are concerned. There’s no doubt he carried the company in the mid 90s and he was the biggest draw.

There is no doubt that in terms of influence, Bret is up there with Austin and Hogan (and it’s hard to separate the 3 in terms of influence)

No other wrestler really comes close. (In-ring ability is a different argument and Bret probably tops that too lol)

Never doubt the WWE machine. Bret had the worst luck. He got fucked up by Goldberg, WCW went to shit, his former employer and the guy he embarrassed owned wrestling.

I don’t watch AEW sorry.

My overall point still stands though. Bret pretty much paved the way for in-ring work wrestling in the WWE. It’s arguable many wrestlers owe their career to the work Bret put in.

Yep.

Iconic.

It could also be argued that it’s the day the sharpshooter was first no-sold and hasn’t ever recovered since.

Btw guys update on my RAW and PPV watch. Up to WrestleMania 10. That opener between Bret and Owen is easily the best WrestleMania opening match. Up there with Eddie vs Rey
