William Saliba (2)

Why are our loans shit tho?

It’s partly because the players themselves are shit.

Our best loan of the last 5 years is ESR and turns out it’s mainly cos he’s a quite good player.

We could do smarter things than loan them to bad PL teams tho that maybe should be the first thing we stop doing. Send them to Germany. Guendo has done well at Hertha and Ossei-Tutu did well in Germany last year. Our youth players aren’t shit we just don’t handle them properly like Josh was alluding to.

One thing we have always agreed on is our loan policy being trash/pointless.

But a 15 game loan in Germany doesn’t mean shit if you come back to the club and do fuck all for the next 18 months (hello Reiss Nelson). Most of our youth players are not good enough, that is the simple truth. We might extract an extra few million by being smarter and we should do that. But it’s not in any way a game changer.

The face I make at the dentist’s.

Told ya! :wenger2:

We need to go big on this one. Bring in a proper world-class CB.

If we do buy a top CB to partner Gabriel, it means that we’ll still have Holding, Chambers, Saliba, Mari and Mavro, even if Luiz does go.
This means we’ll have far too many players for the same position and, if we don’t get European football, when are they going to get games?
So at least two of these will have to be sold as well.

Mavro is going.
Chambers is viewed as a RB it seems.
Reckon Saliba’s situation depends on if we play in Europe.

He wouldn’t look for a RCB if he had any faith in Saliba.

The club of course allows him to do whatever he wants.

Saliba fighting for his place sounds like bollocks, what are the chances he chooses to roll with Saliba in an undeserved make or break season when he didn’t give him a chance before?

Rumours of Xhaka and Luiz leaving leave a bitter taste when you realise this fraud is the one tasked with rebuilding.

This. Cunt.

What else is Arteta going to say? He is essentially saying that Saliba will be back with us but he needs to evaluate him over the summer before deciding whether he can be the primary alternative to Holding (who even Arteta must realize is crap). It sounds like common sense to me.

I was just gonna ask this but then saw someone on my TL had the same thought.

Arsenal fans would call for Saliba to be replaced if he does that and that cost Top 4.

True but that says more about arsenal fans than anything else.

you do it with arteta…he could be the next SAF :henry2:

If Saliba had the season Fofana did, of course you take that mistake.

An immediate reaction to a mistake is always going to be fuelled by emotion, rather than logic.

I’ll never be able to answer this question accurately as I will probably never watch this mistake

That doesn’t make any sense.

You can go back and see what I was saying about Arteta before he managed our games.
