As for Saliba, it seems that if Arteta doesn’t like him, like a few other players he has fallen out.
Arteta has his favourites and unfortunately, like Willian, Mustafi, Xhaka, etc, have proved that a lack of talent and motivation are no reason to not get picked.
Like Wenger he’s a very stubborn manager and if your’e one of his favourites you will still get picked, no matter how bad you are, but if he doesn’t like you, then you’re gone, no matter how good you are.
The Saliba transfer is just another in a long line of baffling decisions that prove that between them, the owners, the board, Edu and Arteta, haven’t got a clue what they’re doing.

The real issue between them is that Arteta feels that Saliba undermines his authority, not only as a manager but as a man, and that it is far too early in Saliba’s career for him to be treating his manager this way.
