What a star. Beast on and off the pitch.

What a tackle that was on Ayew, fucking hell, thought was a penalty for sure initially.

it was an eye catching tackle, but it was also a high risk tackle.
Should avoid all these if he could control the ball better and not giving it away…

Getting up there in terms of the best defender in the league. Just needs the tenure to justify it now imo

And touch wood looks like the back problem might be behind him. Back to his best.

Indeed, that was a big scare and there was talk it could have had lasting effects.

Haven’t noticed any drop-off physically. In fact, I actually think he even improved in that aspect. Looks like a proper wall now, similar to Gabriel.

It was always behind him :sunglasses:

Are we talking his own lumbar region, or his teammate Jurrien Timber?

Yeah, he made a mistake and then made up for it in style.

Whilst what he did was good, I get the feeling nobody would care if that was Gabriel.

He’d get roasted for the mistake and that’d be the end of it.

Saliba was really good yesterday, but I will not be celebrating him making a mistake which nearly led to a goal.

Just like everyone else then.

I never quite understand this expression, does it mean he’s an overpriced lump of crap who is prone to breaking down a lot?
