Left McDonald’s, moved to a spot with better beer and elite people watching opportunities

Just saw a bloke get nabbed by some undies :joy:

Are you anywhere near the main train station? Ive a few hours in Brussels this day week on the way back from Rome and getting the Eurostar across to London. On the lookout for a decent spot to enjoy a few beverages on the way.

lol, I’m sure I sat in almost the exact spot when I was last there. Was a good way to pass a few hours waiting for the next train.

Im sat in Place de la Bourse in this spot, it’s pretty nice

It’s pretty near Brussels Zuid/Midi, which is the station the Eurostar goes to, so I guess it must be the main station, or one of them

I can’t go there and not order large

Fair enough. I have a real dilemma with McD. Do I scarf down the fries first, or the burger? Either way, the other is half cold no matter the plan of attack.

Went to New York a couple of weeks ago and it was great but very cold, especially Central Park.
Got pictures of the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station and an interesting cannibis shop that also had a psychic upstairs. :grinning:

Got back from Athens the other day, your handsome nordic genes will probably take well to the cold March greek water :sunglasses:

I absolutely loved New York. One of my favourite trips.

NYC is one of the best places I’ve ever been. Did like 5 days there and 3 days in Vegas. If I went again I’d just fuck off Vegas and do 8 days there.

100% going back one day. Beats Southend innit

Haha yeah I bet it’s cold as fuck.

I’m just glad to weather forecast is good. Any recommendations?

A fair few people were sunbathing actually, so might not be that bad. I of course forgot my beach attire so couldn’t join in.

I was over there just for a few days to watch some Euroleague basketball, didn’t see much.

The acropolis obviously, go south from Piraeus towards Glyfada, that’s the nice beach area. Olympiacos play Panatinaikos in the Greek basketball league on Friday, if you can score tickets, I’d go, it will be a fun game.

Leaving aside the venue for one second, the choice of a ‘fillet of fish’ has blown my mind! I’ve never known anyone to order one of those from the menu…and what’s going on with the ketchup? If you’re in Belgium surely it is compulsory to have mayonnaise with your fries? I hope you have at least tried the waffles?

As they say, I  NY too.

My sister moved to Queens, long before I moved to the States. That’s how I became a Mets and (former) Jets fan.

It’s a shame she’s moved back to the UK, as I no longer have reason to visit, especially as my wife hates the place, and it’s probably not the best vacation for young kids.
