Every time I listen (or watch) it feels like we are still at the peak of summer.
Saw Sprints at the Troxy, Limehouse last night. During the last song, the lead singer crowdsurfed over to the disabled seating section and gave each of us a hug. Sadly my wife was a little too slow with the camera. Keith Allen mistook me for someone else with an “Alright mate?” and a fist bump on the way back from the bogs.
It was one of those nights.
The pre-credits sequence of Moonraker has my favorite variation of the James Bond theme, during the freefall sequence, and the Shirley Bassey number is often unappreciated.
Things I find whilst randomly scrolling on my phone whilst my boy settles off to sleep.
I love tiny desk, and I love David Byrne even more.
Can’t wait to see him in March.
(Nothing But) Flowers was a highlight of this little concert, it’s by far the best song from Talking Heads’ later work, and possibly top ten across their many albums. The lyrics are fantastic and musically it’s an absolute treat.
