What are you listening to right now?

I love All Saints, best girl group going imo, especially as they mostly wrote their own stuff (well, Melanie Blatt did)

However they do trigger some traumatic memories. I was a sauceless teenager in sixth form college, sat in English Lit class next to a girl I fancied, and the proud owner of a Motorola Rokr, aka The iTunes phones, from the pre-iPhone days.

It had incredible sluggish response times, and unfortunately I had left it unlocked in my pocket. I accidentally pressed the dedicated iTunes button, which brought up my library.

Accidentally hitting play somehow, my phone started blasting the opening lines to “Never Ever” at full volume. Due to said sluggishness, it took around ten seconds for me to shut it off. 16/17 year old me was incredibly embarrassed by this, and as the class laughed, my face turned a bright red, and frankly I never quite recovered. Not sure how great my chances were in the first place, but suffice to say, things went nowhere with my crush.

Cringing thinking about it. Those opening few seconds to Never Ever last a lifetime.

What else was on this playlist :ok_hand:

We’ve all been there. Chin up, it appears you recovered quite well.

As subtly hinted by my Charlie Brown upload, he had his chance, and blew it. He gets no sympathy from me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

60 years and 1 day, dare I say.

Saw him in 1988… then saw Old Crow Medicine Show do “Blonde on Blonde” full album live with Brandi Carlile a few years back… i love, love, love his “Bootleg Series: 5 - Live 1975”

Was this post in order to restore balance to the universe after my previous one?

I know most of you will ignore my music as it’s pop or country. But this dude is more folk and I have seen him live so many times. Big on politics if that is your thing. Very anti Conservatives.
