Struggling to think of a more boring appointment.

Has he actually done a good job anywhere since like 2012 though?

He must have done something positive to make these buggers want to hire him again but I don’t recall seeing anything good in the past 7 or so years.

He hasn’t even worked since they sacked him last time :joy:

He was thinking, I don’t want someone coming in who’s better than me, and recommended Moyes.

He could have recommended basically anybody and they wouldn’t have been better than him. Short of Klopp directly replacing him I think United were always going to be a mess post Ferguson because he was the one holding it all together. This idea that he wanted the next manager to fail is complete fallacy I think.

The day before I actually put a bet on Klopp to get the job.
Couldn’t believe they went for Moyes and still can’t to this day.

Lucky Liverpool, United would probably have 23 league titles by now if Klopp joined and Liverpool would still be fumbling around 4th-8th.

Couldn’t agree more, I’ve never found it to be an even slightly convincing theory.

1 win 2 draws and 5 losses for the happy hammers under Moyes. Inspired hire.:joy::joy:

They deserve to go down for re-hiring Moyes.

This is why you have to give Everton some respect when in a similar and a bit desperate situation they invested in Ancelotti.
There was a clamour and panic from a percentage of fans for Moyes but they went bold and secured basis for going forward and easily staving off any threat of relegation.
It was a tragic move by west ham with a broken man.
People will throw him in with big Sam and Pullis but like them or not they are firefighters for certain standards of clubs. Moyes is a mythical figure who fluked the United job and was exposed to who he is and got damaged in the process.
I’d honestly consider sacking him if I was there board.
Be Scott Parker next no doubt. One of their so called own blah, blah,

I know loads of West Ham supporters and, if we think Kroenke is unpopular, it’s nothing compared to what they think of Sullivan and Gold.

Lack of investment and very poor decision making have got them in this position and their owners actually support the club.

It’s a good job we’ve got them in our next PL game.

Alot of the stuff directed to West Ham’s owners is unfair imo

The correct intent is there but the application and senior management isn’t

Tbh I think they do get a fair bit of investment.
There a strange club to me. I mean they treat players like Noble as a god over there. Not one of them see it’s that standard of player that needs to be replaced before they can ever go forward.

West ham transfer dealing are the worse they have no plan they just bought in a load off players when all they really needed was to sort their defence and sign a striker

I think Declan Rice looked good yesterday.

As you say, the Spammers tend to over inflate their players a little (just as we do with Aubameyang, I suppose) but Rice seriously looks like he could do a job here

Hard to over inflate Auba when he’s the leagues top scorer since the start of last season when he’s been playing in the least coherent Arsenal side I’ve probably ever seen lol
