Him and Gyokeres are a perfect fit for Atleti.
Assuming we get Gyokeres this summer, I am curious to know who you would prefer us to sign as a winger or attacking midfielder - who do you think would compliment Gyokeres the most?
Berta has an eye for tall prolific Nordic CF archetypes. Gyokeres is the one.

There really isn’t a great deal of options out there but either Williams or Rodrygo
Rodrygo is probably the better of the two right now but I’d be fine with either even though they aren’t encessarily a sure thing
Do think we need more creativity in the team but another attacking midfielder doesn’t seem to be anywhere on the agenda but if Odegaard has another crap season then there will be no choice.

He’s dribbling for his size and stature is impressive
Very dynamic will the ball at his feet, that’s the profile of a player that can likely still be effective even when the space shrinks as can be the case in the PL

Having someone like him who can just bully defenders especially during a break would be very handy for us.
Our lot don’t have the body strength to withstand a challenge or two when on the run, but this guy is like Broly, he can just drive with the ball w/brute force, which would be a welcome addition to our forward line.
Only ‘weakness’ seems to be his headers, but I guess that’s what Havertz is for.

Just such an obvious move, hopefully he can still shake off defenders the same way in this league and if he can he’ll bang.
Making that half yard of space for his shot or bulldozing through, need it.

Get it done. A striker for right now and not two or three years down the line. I couldn’t give a toss about aesthetics, he’ll score plenty here.
Yeah, I do really like this about his game.
I don’t think we offer enough threat in transition currently and in significant part its because none of our strikers are very good at carrying the ball at speed against a challenge. Havertz is pretty fast but he isn’t really a powerful dribbler and not a killer finisher if he gets to the box, Jesus is a good small space dribbler but he isn’t going to just bully you in the middle of the pitch, shake you off, and then run away from you with the ball. Trossard and Merino are far too slow to be transitional threats and neither of them can really carry the ball against a determined challenge.
I think Sesko can actually do this too in theory but I don’t see it happen as often. Gyokeres just seems to have that dog in him where he relishes fighting with a defender for an out ball and then running away with it.
