This is what scares me about a lot of big money signings. With this example, it could be that the system Amorim created elevated his game and padded out his numbers.
That’s not to say that he isn’t capable of posting those numbers again but simply spending the money on him and expecting him to give you that exact output (Amorim era) is naive.
Unless it’s Man United, I don’t see another team committing over £60m for him.
