He was barely getting the ball as I said, Sporting haven’t shown much ambition to attack after the goal, eapecially in the second half.
He did fine with what he got in this game.

That pavlidis miss is exactly why I want a killer and did so last summer too.
We have players who can get a decent number of goals (Pavlidis also looks decent generally) but yet again what we missed in the big fucking CL games when it mattered was a guy who will always put the ball in the back of the net.
Gyokeres will do it im so sure.

I agree. But the striker market is poor, which is why I think we focus on a LW who can score those sorts of numbers for us. That takes pressure off the striker and means we could afford to buy Sesko and give him the time to develop, whilst still benefiting from a decent goal return.
Same, who do you have in mind?
We don’t have time to waste big money on a player if they can’t cut it at the top level in the PL. You’re going all in on Gyokeres on the basis that he will deliver big numbers from day one…
I’m going all in on Gyokeres because I believe he is the best attainable option out there and will be a top striker in the PL yes
Eye test tells me and so do statistical reference points in a multitude of ways
Can’t say the same about Sesko who is all fart and no poo at this point in his career
