Portugal used to produce defenders like Carvalho and Pepe, now that twink Antonio Silva is the next big thing. Talk about decline.
The way he drifts to the left makes me wonder if we can play 3-5-2 with Gyök and Sak up front.

In terms of style and ability, profile, I think the best comparison would be Diego Costa.
A big, strong guy who can run at people (strong pace and dribbling) and is better at using his pace than his back to the goal (although he’s quite decent there too).
I’d be happy if he brings that kind of return, as Costa had in his first season or two at Chelsea, not to mention his peak at Atletico.
I love it when he runs at people, really has that fear factor in him in those situations. We have missed a striker like that since Henry basically. Welbz was good there, but doesn’t count since he didn’t know where the goal was.

Tbf to @The_Invincibles, bar that assist, Gyokeres hasn’t exactly shined. Very basic stuff so far.
