I really hope he’s the one, man. We’ve had some bad luck with signing strikers.
He better impress me because I remember last year watching the same match but for the cup and it was Joao Neves that stood out the most.
Rather find a flop by trying to win (Gyokeres) than by looking 5 years down the line again (sesko).
Just bring us big vik, it’s already a year late.
Whatever happens, he’s is an immediate upgrade on what we’ve had to tolerate in the last couple of seasons.
I know we’ve had injuries to contend with, but of the players we’ve had upfront, Havertz and Merino are midfielders, Trossard is a wide player and if anyone can remember him, Jesus is never fit enough for us.
Gyokeres is as good as it gets for a player who hasn’t played in the PL and although Isaak might be slightly better, he’s going to be almost double what Gyokeres will cost and Newcastle might not sell him anyway.
So because we need a top quality LW as well, this is a great signing.
how could we submit bit when the transfer window is closed?
We can sign players, just can’t officially announce them or confirm them until the window is open
Basically the transfer window is actually best described as a registration window.
Deals can be happen and be announced 12 months a year but can only be registered within certain windows.
You can only play for clubs you are registered to.
“so everybody knows and it is not announced???”
@shamrockgooner
Well noted, thanks.
Yep, pretty much
They’re all sitting down and negotiating this transfer on the day Sporting play their biggest game of the season.
Much better value for money than Isak too.
But either would be a special add for us.
Get it done guys, don’t want anymore ‘will he, won’t he’ sagas.
Go for the realistic one, don’t fucking waste time dreaming and negotiating the unrealistic.
Ok, I’m tuning in to watch our new striker in Benfica vs Sporting
Grat assist
Our boy just assisted, Sporting 1 up early on
There goes @Bergkamp10GOAT’s left bollock.
If true, it is impressive we are moving quickly to secure our targets before the end of the season.
I’ll be very happy to say I was wrong if we sign him and he scores goals loads of goals (that’s one for you @shamrockgooner ). My gut still says Sesko, but if we opt for Gyokeres, Sesko is young enough that we can still go back for him in the future aka Laca and Auba.
LW remains the priority for me in terms of attack, and I still think we need to spend big.
Berta in the stadium?
