Yeah, it’s not new. I think there was report about it last week too, which came off after Sporting’s president made some other statements about it.
It’s a whole public saga now. That’s why I don’t think this gets resolved anytime soon.

I’d be very disappointed if we ended up not landing Gyokeres now. I had reached the acceptance stage with Sesko, but didn’t really want him.

Won’t mind if United get him tbh. A guy so poor in the air will have a tough time in the English league (unless you’re exceptional with other aspects of your game). Can see teams nullifying him out within the first month of his arrival.

It would be madness because it would mean we’d spend around 300m in the same window.
But although it won’t happen, an attacking line up of Gyokeres, Saka and Eze, with Sesko, Havertz and Martinelli on the bench, would be the best attacking line up in the PL. 
How so? Sporting aren’t losing much here. They’ll let him go eventually but they have no reason to give into his demands anytime soon.
So what if Gyokeres doesn’t report back to training or refuses to play.
It’s preseason, league isn’t starting till mid August.

Well to be fair, this made up nonsense isn’t a made up release clause. It’s a made up clause that the agent is due a made up fee if Sporting reject an offer of a made up amount.
