I said he played better tonight. If he wants more praise from me, then can start with another good game v Forest and not reverting to what he is.
So precious….he needs to have your thumbs up huh, what a melt!
Read the post I was replying to then you’ll understand why I said that.
Having flashbacks to IORP and his hate for Ramsey lol
Sounds like a legend. They should come back.
Not reading into that moment in particular but I did bring it up last week about him seeming to be making less runs lately and that first run when he scored tonight.
I think he has been frustrated with the volume at which we cut back inside rather than cross, his reaction just before scoring tonight shows it.
Hard to say gyok has done enough to earn that right just yet, but as Jimmy also highlighted, he has to keep making the runs regardless.
I’m happy if he makes them and moans when the ball doesn’t come his way.
hope he turns it around like Kai. but Kai is nothng extraordinary which is why we signed Gyokeres but lets see
Yeah that was poor from Saka.
Can’t see that actual Sky vid, but watching the highlights on Arsenal YT channel right now…
Although Gyokeres is in front of the Chelsea defence, Saka is even more in front so he’s onside. That was a relatively easy ball to play Gyokeres into a clear cut chance, but Saka never gets his head up, and never has an idea to play that ball, that’s the frustrating part.
White bailed him out with that overlap otherwise he ruined a great chance.
There is definitely some internal pressure there between Vik and some of our attacking players. You could sense it in his post-match interview, he most certainly doesn’t feel like his team mates provide him with enough opportunities.
Arteta also hinted in his, that he often occupies the right spaces and it clicked last night because the ball finally arrived.
I mean, it was because the goalkeeper spilled it on the line.
He gambled on it getting to him, and it paid off
Gyokeres played his role perfectly last night
If your expectation of an Arsenal CF is 2 goals in 12 games then you are the only person displaying hate.
Goalkeeper spills it and Gyokeres isn’t there to turn it in:
“How can a striker not be there ready to tap it in? something something Portuguese league something something I work in probability so I can tell he is a shit striker even though every other fan can too”
You have to judge how repeatable an action it is.
Sure. If our style of play was that. But we want the ball and combine through the middle. So this doesn’t make sense.
At the moment Im not worried about him.
Hes moved to a new better league and needs to adapt, I like how he battles and runs after everything. I dont believe the team is playing to his strengths and there has been many occasions when balls from the widths or even central could have been played to him quicker to get him on goal but havent been, we prefer to turn back and recycle the ball rather than risk the pass. Hopefully that evolves and he becomes our proper striker.
