Unai Emery

Sensible decision by Arsenal favouring all parties involved imo. More than the results, which were shit themselves, we were dire to watch as well. Hope Freddie can ride his high train and get us back into the CL. Kinda feel sorry for Emery, but him and Arsenal were never a match really. I’m sure he’ll get a job soon enough in some mid table Spanish side. Think he’ll be better off being a Real Sociedad legend rather than a failure at a big club as well. Really looking forward to football again. Credit where it’s due. Arsenal have acted like a big club after quite sometime. May be after they asked Arsene to leave when really he was already a couple years past it. Freddie to bring the invincibles’ football back into the team would be pretty well good to Arsenal’s needs imo.
Da Freddie train iz cumin…

Absolutely agree, really piss poor professionalism from the players. Playground bullshit.

These guys are extremely well-paid athletes who represent a club that has a rich tradition and culture of acting with dignity and class.

Really pisses me off, not least because I fucking hate bullies. Really cuntish behaviour. Hopefully never have to read shite like this ever again.

Agree. That game was a mess.

Sad reality is these issues occurred in his past. The club should grilled him more comprehensively.

Club and many other (including myself) should have taken the PSG red flags more seriously.

aaawww come on guys, yeah i know he did terribly here and all but to me Unai seemed to be a genuinely decent guy he wasnt good enough for us no doubt but his heart is in the right place and to me he seemed a kind hearted sorta person and at the end seeing how he looked and hearing he kept on going home and was eating alone in that picture and all the abuse he got from players and fans etc…i just feel its a bit harsh to take the piss out of him now especially now he is gone, he tried his best was woefully inadequate but i feel people ripping the piss out of him are just adding insult to injury…yes i know he was paid handsomely etc i dunno to me it just feels wrong i feel he is a good man.

can confirm the shite on the chalkboard is nonsense.

Dani Ceballos has been on the Estrella’s…

Anymore 'thank you messages that I’m unaware of? Martinez and David Luiz are the ones I’ve seen. The rest of the squad are conspicuously quiet.

I do think the players genuinely liked him but by the end, they just didn’t really see what he wanted from them and it all became abundantly clear it wasn’t working out.

The fact there were no widespread reports of player mutiny right up until the final few games says a lot about the players actually seeming to take to him as a person.

Either way - glad he’s gone. I was mid flight home when I checked the BBC updates and saw “Emery sacked” and had to spend the next 4 hours waiting patiently for touch down so I could check OA lol.

I went to sleep like 5 minutes before it was official it seems, not fair I had to wait hours to become aware of such joyous news.

While he seems like a nice enough bloke there was obviously the rift with Ozil. And Aubameyang obviously wanted him out.

Guendouzi has given Emery a warm farewell

No one with Arsenal’s interest in mind would have wanted Emery to fail.
I had no expectation from Emery apart from a good transition post Wenger and improving the squad either defensively or overall.
Wenger’s last season was absolutely something any manager should be able to improve upon. Any Manager. It was rock bottom shit.
However, Emery managed to go even beyond rock bottom shit.

That is just unacceptable after 18months.
Wenger’s side were poor defensively but scored goals at the very least. Even Wenger’s boring years had goals in them.
With Emery, we got worse defensively and goals only came from individual brilliance most of the time, if goals ever came.

Unacceptable, especially considering Aubameyang & Lacazette have not been lacklustre.

Good Bye.

What a sweet boy.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Now we just need to get rid of the assholes who let him linger like a curry fart.
