Unai Emery

Watch it anyway.

I was going to, regardless of our result. Nothing delights more on domestic football now than seeing Liverpool lose (a rarity!) and/or Manchester City or Leicester City in full flow

It frankly isnt Emery’s fault anymore, because he is what he is and if they aren’t going to sack him, why should he walk away and give up his pay?

It’s on them to make the right decision now, not him. They are failing monumentally to lead this club at the moment.

maybe they are already making moves behind the scenes it just that there isnt anyone to take over right now as such unless we leave it to ljungberg but maybe they are worried that that isnt gonna work well either but i doubt he can do much worse

A caretaker would be better at this point though, it would at least give us a boost rather than us just continuing to sink like this

@AbouCuellar new title is much better than your suggestion

Southampton at home should be a win. What worse could Ljungberg or any interim do if the players have stopped giving a fuck? This won’t get better, only worse.

This will without a doubt be his last big job, it only downhill for Emery now and he ain’t getting a payday like this too. So he ain’t walking away. Raul and Edu are looking every bit as bad every week as it goes by, shows the lack of Ambition we have that they aren’t acting now. I think some of those players need to be look at as well, some are just not good enough but some have downtools as well.

We be near the bottom come the end of 2019, no doubt in my mind if we keep Emery.

What was mine? Mine was for three fids’ thread to be called by its name

Oh right lol, never mind.

I have no doubt that part of this is that we slightly overrate many of our players, but they are certainly better than this and the way they’re being set up week in week out now is nonsense. Many of them are a problem but the biggest culprit is in the dugout

You’re all forgiven for not seeing the light with Bumery.
Mark everyone who slammed Emery from the get go, they’re on to something. :eyes:

I think some of these players will do the same again no matter who the coach is. That worries me. Our squad is massively overrated, is it good enough to get top 4 with a top coach, depends on how the others are playing around us. It could win a Europa League or a cup but top 4 and been a title contender way off.

I sometimes wonder if Luca was still here, would he be abusing me and somehow @Calum by association for not backing Bumery, or would he have accepted he’s shit by now?

Probably both. :arteta:

I miss him to an extent.

There is absolutely no way he would have survived without a ban through all this crap

Do you even have to ask lol?

Luca is a man of extremes. He is now the most radical (as loathe as I am to associate such a sensible stance with radicalism) Emery out there is, no doubt.

For fucks sake.

He’s a decent coach at a certain level, it hasn’t worked here. There’s no shame in it but everyone needs to move on now.

I think it is overrated but to be honest, the two summer windows Emery has had since he arrived have both been fairly positive. I think most of the signings we’ve made for him have been useful and have improved the squad. Players like Leno, Torreira who he’s made a mess of things with, Guendouzi, Tierney, Pepe etc.

These are all signings that have been made since he’s been here and the fact that after 18 months we’re getting worse and worse while the squad has improved is a major worry. These players aren’t this bad.
