It’s alright. I haven’t played eFootball nor the latest iteration of FIFA/FC to compare it though.
I would say it’s a massive improvement from the Beta though.
I am bit shocked by how good their netcode is. My broadband is awful and it doesn’t even feel like I’m playing online.
A bit of a bummer for me was that their anti pay-to-win strategy isn’t entirely true.
You can pay to buy CP(credit points)which is what you use to get players.
The only caveat is that RP(reputation points) determines the level of players you can get those by playing and it will take a long time before you’re able to get the likes of Ronaldo, Messi and Saka.
I’ve ran into a couple people with 75-80ish overall rating teams with my starter team of random 60ish rated players plus Abraham and Bove.
Does this game not have things like Career Mode etc? Sounds like it’ll be pointless for us folks who don’t give a shit about Ultimate Team-style games.
They’re planning to add more modes but currently the main one is Ultimate Team style mode.
Ugh, lame. A new football game is great but I hate the whole UT concept.

Yeah I love career too.
But for this game to succeed and get to the point of adding more modes, they need to make some profit. It’s probably why Ultimate team is the first mode they focus on.

The beta was horrible and if it’s an Ultimate Team game then no one will look outside EAFC and efootball.
I’m about 10 games in.
Work in progress for sure. Very clunky, robotic football. Tackling feels useless at times because it keeps bouncing back to the opponent for an easy chance.
Game does have potential though. Long way to go.

I would say gameplay wise it’s a bit of dumbed down FIFA/FC. It’s closer to older FIFA games, which I don’t think is bad necessarily.

Will always have fond memories of FIFA 17. Is it anything like that?
Probably even older.
I will probably get this when it becomes free to play in a few days
