Penalties hardly tell us that the winner was any better than away goal though.
New rule is away goals count as double
It was also to encourage away teams to actually attack their opponent. I’m sure I read that back in the early days of the European Cup, you’d get away teams who would just play for a bore draw, and it would make those legs utterly dreary to watch. Away goal was brought into incentivise away teams to play more openly.
I’d still scrap it. It affects the ties way too much. It just seems perverse to me that a tie can end 4-4 but one team has to win it in order to go through, but the other can be happy with the draw.
Both teams get home advantage and equal opportunity to make the best of it. Why make it any more complicated than that?
In this day and age, the home team trying to make the best of their advantage would leave the away team with opportunities to counter attack. The rationale for keeping it has diminished for me.
Id keep it as its unique and offers a more exciting way of watching the game. More penalty shoot outs is just the most underwhelming way of deciding football matches.
Inter really are the worst club in the world
You can do that in DivisieMickieMaus.
:bellend:
If you have a big cock and get a hard on… you are offside also
I despise the oil cunts and I’m not a big fan of Guardio£a either, but yeh thinking ur through and just knocked off the biggest shit head squad around, only to be undone by var is definitely heartbreaking.
No VAR in the womens game then. Pele be fucked with viagra as well.
There’s a reason Maldini and Nesta were bloody good defenders right
It could be good, and it could be bad.
You know what I mean
Can tits be offside?
I mean, you can score with hitting the ball off them, so technically, yes?
Depends on the cup.
Kane was in the NLD but he got a penalty out of it.
The original goat Ronaldo
Spurs already think they are in the final
