They still have a chance, but them being favourites after this result at home seems rather optimistic.
If it an all out Barca attack vs Atleti all out defence, I favour barca to score at least once which will make it a competitive game.
This Atleti side under Simeone isnāt a shutdown team imo. 11 v 11 Barca were much better until the game changed.

I think Atletico are through. Ive seen their record against Barca at home. In the last 20 games, there are only two results that Barca could replicate that would help them advance. They beat Atletico 4-2 in 2025 and 3-0 in 2024.

Atletico were outplayed by 10man Barca and they also conceded 5 goals vs Spurs. This isnāt a team hitting imperious heights.

I havenāt had a chance to watch the Barca v Madrid game yet.
For those who did, on a scale from 1 (There could be better targets) to 10 (sign him whatever the cost) how good was Alvarez?
I only watched the second half. He was pretty quiet funnily enough. Played more as an attacking midfielder once Sorloth came on. Very neat in tight spaces.
I think heād be an excellent accompaniment to both of our strikers. In the dream scenario where we also get Kvaratskhelia we could finally have a front line of players who can get that little bit closer to the goal without need to slow it down and find another pass.
Iāll be very surprised if it came to that, but thereās no denying we need better quality depth in attack in the middle and on the left. I can see us cashing-in on Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus unless one of them hits title-winning form in the next few weeks.
