Linkin Park without Chester is a pass for me (not that I was ever a huge fan). Nothing against her, Iāve seen her performing the songs and I donāt think sheās bad at all. But itās just not Linkin Park to me.
Like with that Adam Lambert fella stepping into Freddie Mercuryās shoes, to me, thatās not Queen anymore.
A lot of bands could swap out as many drummers as they like, but I donāt think most could replace their front man in the same way.
To put this in the context of my favourite band: Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison might be performing, but if the front man isnāt David Byrne, donāt try to sell me tickets to a Talking Heads gig.
Buyer(n)liga, innit.
I can only think of AC/DC who replaced their lead singer seamlessly. Although Iām sure some people older than me might disagree.

In my book, the remaining members of Joy Division had it right when they went on to form New Order.
I mean, heās never made that much impression on OA but if he sticks around this time he might be able to dream of having the kind of impact that Mr Rhymes Julius did.
