Tavares is gone. It’s one of those loans to be made permanent a la Raya.
I remember Lazio’s president boasting about him, saying he ain’t selling him(already considering him their player).
For what is worth, we’ve got 20% sell-on clause.

Seems clear to me that Jesus, Martinelli and Tomiyasu all stay in the summer. If Jesus wasn’t injured, I think he would leave, but as he is injured, he stays. Maybe one to watch next January if he recovers from injury by then.
I think the futures of Zinchenko and Trossard are unclear. I think if a decent bid comes in for Zinny, and he wants to leave, he will leave. If there are no bids, I can see us keeping him for squad depth and maybe as a backup midfielder next season. Trossard’s future depends on whether he signs a new contract and how many attacking players we sign. My gut feeling atm is that Zinny leaves and Trossard stays.
The rest all leave IMO.
Ok results are in…Isak wins the first preference votes and narrowly beats Sesko for the total number of votes so is our ‘collective’ preferred striker option in the summer.
Player | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | Total |
---|---|---|---|---|
Isak | 11 | 3 | 1 | 15 |
Sesko | 1 | 6 | 7 | 14 |
Gyokeres | 5 | 3 | 1 | 9 |

I need Arsenal to get us our lick back. Odegaard got this chance over the weekend and the keeper easily cradled the ball in to his grasp.
I know Man United would sell too and it would be nice to big dog them once.
You suggesting that we buy Bruno/replace Ode with him? Bruno will be 31 in September
Would have been all over this in previous years but I think that ship sailed. I do think Bruno should look to go though and I feel like given Man Utd’s process of eliminating costs, they would be very open to take a high earner like Bruno off their bill.
Arsenal lack Bruno’s specific profile and given his style of play, I see him ageing well. And for player like him - is his agent Jorge Mendes? - Saudi Arabia is always an option if the football decide to leaves him when he’s 34.
Admittedly, his age is a big problem. In my mind he was 29.
Jonathan Burkardt
15 goals in 22 Bundesliga matches
As cheap of a backup CF with high upside as you could find in current market.
Zubimendi + A.Beana + Gittens + Gyokeres = Arsenal 25/26 PL title winners
Garcia
Hato / Kimmich (Although I expect scouts to recommend a player we haven’t heard much of)
Bruno / Similar output playmaker profile
LW (Sane? Wirtz?)
Isak / Ekitike / Sesko
Again - with ALOT of out-goings likely, this list should expand but realistically don’t see KSE going big with fees and number of additions in one transfer window.
Would also like Dowman to be fast tracked.
Kimmich signed a contract.
We are fucking boring to watch. Let’s buy a maverick. Somebody to take a risk on the ball.
Leap, Lookman, Wirtz or Eze please.
Nwaneri and MLS are our only risky player. It’s been coached out of Martinelli.
Lookman would be good, probably won’t be a ridiculous fee either.
Also won’t block martinelli forever should he return to any form.
This is what I meant in my post about Gyokeres in the Arsenal Transfers ahead.
8 out of 9 people had him as 1st/2nd choice, and by far our next best #1 preference after Isak.
But the remaining 9 voters didn’t even have him top 3.
(I realise two people didn’t vote for 3rd place, but that kind of proves the same point).
Seems to be a marmite player…
Personally I can’t get behind Retegui, Osimhen, Cunha, Vlahovic or Delap being priority ahead of him.
Gyokores appears to have been flavour of the month - I was guilty of this. Post Amorim and the way that we play, he is less exciting now than he was in November/December.
He is definitely a goal scorer though. I went Isak, osimhen and Cunha. However say Loolman and Gyokeres together would be a different proposition. Think of the directness and pace of a Lookman, Saka and Gyokeres front 3.
Gyokeres can definitely slot in nicely up front for us, a great Jesus replacement. I only presume this isn’t a player that the scouts/Berteta are looking at though.
That’s a fair point, I just looked at his stats.
Bruno’s got 28 G/As this season in Man Utd’s worst team in 35 years; more than 2x Ode’s. He regularly gets 20 G/As every season… maybe I’ve been sleeping on him because of his moaning when things are bad.
Yeah Bruno Fernandes is pretty underrated in non united circles because of his shenanigans but in the competent team, he would create magic.
Fernandes is very good playmaker but he’s fundamentally a flawed player and can’t be the best midfielder in your team
I don’t rate him like that but he’s been fairly consistent for United in general, heavily propped up by pens though. He’s a crappy finisher
How so?
