who said he is looking at a striker to replace havertz? Also why would Arteta be speaking to Gyokeres for a while and supposedly was going in for Sesko if he wasn’t looking to bolster attack. I reckon it is a very high liklihood a striker will be coming in for next season.

Sesko isn’t Gyokeres. Sesko opted not to join us. Smart money being because he’d be replacing Nketiah.

Okay, let’s see if we buy a striker in January. I doubt it very muchly.

Doubtful in jan but next season highly likely

If Arteta doesn’t bring in a striker when we know Jesus isn’t it, he’s bonkers.

Let’s hope so. Havertz is doing well, but another option is so necessary.

Options are always good. A.K.A. depth.

Do not care what the cost is - GET GYOKERES

Fuck a Viktor, I want the Wirtzmeister.

We need to hire some pocket ballers that can unlock stuff in the middle. The only way a Viktor, Havertz or Sesko can do that is with sufficient cover there. Nwaneri is learning the ropes, Øde seems to be coming back but the way we have been destabilised since his injury leaves us worryingly short in the creative department.

Gykores would be the best signing he’s made and although Arteta has been great in the transfer market with defensive and midfielders, his record on buying attacking players has been poor.

Trossard, Jesus, Havertz, Willian and Sterling have been underwhelming because players of the quality of Saka, Odegaard and Martinelli deserve better.
It’s similar to when Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla had Giroud playing in front of them.

Arteta could have got Gykores for around 60m last season but instead spent around the same amount on GK’s, while persisting with either Jesus, Havertz or Trossard upfront, who are all good squad players but nowhere the level for a title challenging team.

But Gykores will be wanted by every top European club so won’t be coming here and is likely to follow Amorim to Man U and we’ll probably end up with Sane as our attacking marquee signing.

He was excellent yesterday. That run he goes on nullifying 4 city players, and that first-time pass to Mitoma were brilliant.

I am also waiting for Gruda to have a season under his belt. He has the x factor.

Brighton will be demanding silly money as per usual.

When Brighton signed him, a lot of people didn’t think the move would pan out but I’ve always been a baleba.

trossard out of this club…muggy tit

If we were to press the panic button in January btw.
I think there’s one player that is in the form of his life currently and will make an instant impact.

I know there were some faint links and I was a bit sceptical at the time, I thought he would drop off a bit this season but he’s carried on his brilliant form. He’s carrying Atalanta even with Scamacca out injured and Koopmeiners gone.

Lookman does have that element of magic to his game. Our game is too predictable with Martinelli or Trossard in the side

He’s probably been the best left winger in the world alongside Vinicius this year.

What’s really impressive is that he does the work defensively too.

Who said Martinelli was better again?

This guy has taken the next step after a career defining season prior

Could be a very good signing considering known quantity options are limited in the position

I do wonder why he gets his minutes controlled though?

And I think best left winger has been Raphinha, even better than Vinicius tbh

Yes, he is a good shout. They play very similarly too with how much they invert inside, almost becoming a second striker at times.

It may be controversial but I think Raphinha has been better than Yamal for Barca, and Raphinha has actually been better than Vinicius for Brazil too.

Tijani Reijnders.

I don’t know where it came from but he looks a different level this year.

Would love him in our midfield
