Tony Adams

Conceded only 17 goals that season.

World class. Best English CB I’ve seen in my time.

Bizarre that these stupid pundits will pick Kompany and shit like that ahead to him in the PL hall of fame. I know it doesn’t really mean much in the grand scheme of things but he’s criminally under recognised

Only 17 goals conceded in a season is stupidly good, Chelsea 04/05 the only more stingy rearguard?

Yep, I believe they were 15.

I often think that if you combined Adams and Terry, the likes of Shearer, Henry, Kane, Rooney, Aguero, Salah, van Horseface are having absolutely no joy against them.

It’s just a shame Terry is an odious racist pond-life cunt.

Although Terry is a one handicap I still wouldn’t want to play golf with him!!

Adams is criminally under rated by non Arsenal fans.

The donkey insults stuck with him but he was a wonderful defender and super footballer in reality who’d get more than his share of goals for a centre back.

It’s a bit like the same old Arsenal always cheating insult

Chelsea did have a great defence but Mourinho spent big to assemble it.

But that Arsenal defence a few seasons earlier cost Graham just over 1m and was still going strong when Wenger won the double, which was quite an achievement.

I’m going to predict that he’ll be shit

BIG TONE

Fuck it, for the first time ever, I’m in this year!

I find this the hardest programme to watch on TV and I’ve seen The Wire several times.

10 people dancing for 2 minutes and then somehow an hour and a half of nothing in between.

It couldn’t exist in the non-smartphone age.

What I’m really saying is I’m IN (well for the 2 weeks he’s in too).

Going by this, he definitely will be shit

I want to see him crank out some moves to this classic:

Does public voting have any role in Strictly? Because if so I’m not sure they’re ready for Arsenal Twitter’s power to carry him to victory.

It’s a combination of viewer votes and judges scores. You usually always get a crap one surviving for ages.

That’s our Tone!

Usually a BBC Breakfast presenter or a comedian/comic actor beloved by the nation

Just watched the soccer box on Tony and have to say what fond memories he brings.

Amazing player and my picture of a perfect Arsenal captain unlike some others we’ve had in recent years.

Wish this guy nothing but happiness.

Have it on good authority that he will arrive on the Strictly stage atop a golden cannon firing out footballs to the tune of Go West.

After Adams we had Sol (who wasn’t as good, but great and world class on his day) and now that we have Saliba, I think he’s going to push into that upper bracket, too.

(High praise, but I hope he doesn’t flatter to deceive)

Good luck to Mr Arsenal, our captain, tomorrow night in Strictly!
