The thing is when it suits the journalists they report wages plus all add-ons (appearance fees, clauses and bonuses).
There is no way we are giving this guy a wage of £250k a week. We are not giving him a near 200% pay rise lol.

That same journo also claimed that we would be paying a big tax on the release clause payment, which hasn’t been a thing for like five years (Spain changed their tax laws a while back).
I’ll wait for somebody more credible to report the terms.
I can believe it, you have to imagine finances is a big motivator in him moving here.
As long as he performs as expected it’ll be okay.
