Thomas Partey

Best performance of the season for me. I’ve been very critical of Partey, but he was exceptional today. Man of the match performance.

Sign da ting Theo…urrrr…Thomas

In all seriousness, good to have him back to his best, even if his legs don’t hold up like they used to.

I would highly advise Arsenal not to extend him personally. Let’s get one last great season from him and then go our separate ways.

Brilliant from the general. Missed him in midfield though.

Him getting an extension is one thing.
Discussion of him playing RB should put to and end.
Partey can play RB.

And he’s been doing so quite well if I may say so myself chokes on sip of cognac

It’s good to have him back in form. Rice was stellar last game as well, just need Ödegård to come back and our midfield depth is solid again.

Partey has been really good this season. Probably not getting the props he deserves.

Being reminded why his nickname was the octopus. Some excellent ball winning and tackling to go with his obvious composure.

He’s not at 22/23 levels (one of the best midfielders in Europe) but this is his best spell for a long time.

Now, as long as he stays fit. That’s always been the proviso with him. Still, think positive lads.

I’m glad he’s back and playing regularly and well, but you just know the moment he gets injured that will be his season done.

If he is fine with Jorginho-esque contracts, else it’s a tricky one.

an annual review and renew is good

Will be 2 years in some form, 1+1 (option on #games) or 2 straight up.

Guy who just missed a season n went the wrong side of 30 isn’t gonna just take a flat 1 year deal.

Another game where people thought he would have been the weak link and he ended up being one of the only players that did his job.

At this point I feel like not only has he been our best midfielder this season but arguably our best player overall, and I don’t think that’s a good sign for the team.

seems like when Partey gets really consistent fitness, his quality shines through.

It’s a shame that we’re relying on geriatrics to win games though.

Wasn’t called up again by Ghana. Their coach said something about having a confidential talk with Partey.

He was supposed to be made captain as well in the upcoming matches but his coach talked about wanting to protect him and that it was his decision not to call him up despite Partey wanting to.

My suspicion on what that talk might’ve been about follows up on the point I made about Partey playing for his next contract.
Dude is playing out of his skin at the moment despite the physical regression we noticed last year.
He simply can’t risk getting injured again so he’s prioritising his club career.

You cannot pretend for so many games, let alone the whole season.

You have bo idea the level these guys can get to when they’re in their last year of their contract.
