I think alot of this departure is because Caicedo is available who would replace his role.
Wait until next season and that player to fill the gap may not be there, I think this is a case of the club thinking act now whilst we can get someone who we want in.
Fabrizio reiterated that Partey himself wants to explore his options(Ornstein mentioned it yesterday too).
Ornstein this morning also said that while Caicedo is admired, he isnāt a player that is prioritized. And despite the links Lavia, there isnāt anything advanced yet.
Forgive me, but those two journoās are not the clubs mouth piece, and so I wont take what they say as gospel.
Yes I read it as everyone does, but I wont take what they say as confirmed, i.e. when they say a player isnt admired or prioritised, I would always ask how they know that. Its not coming from Mikel or Edu and so isnt important to me what they say.
Of course not. Ive said if he were to go then Caicedo would be the option. I take their word on nothing at all.
Until its announced on AFCi then it hasnt happened.
You take a lot of what these journalists and supposed ITK twitter mob as the word from the club, and thats fine, its your thing.
Its not really mine.
In no way should Partey be associated with Monaco in a transfer rumour, one of our best performers last season, we obviously donāt have any idea on the inner workings of the club, but Iām amazed there are talks of him leaving.
He was brilliant up until March. And heās a brilliant player when heās on it. I used to think heās irreplaceable but that was when we used to field Lokonga and Elneny in his place which affected our system. But with Jorginho in, he did a great job replacing Partey which made me think that Partey is totally replaceable and getting someone in the caliber of Rice can as good or better.
