Thomas Partey (5)

shit….she is clearly not in a good place

Fuck. The whole situation is awful but she really needs some immediate help.

Somewhat off topic but why has it become so common for people to speak “their” truth as opposed to THE truth?

I won’t comment on this thread unless it’s about Thomas’s football on the pitch or we actually have an outcome on the police.

The club have absolutely not investigated the evidence. They’re a football club.

I don’t know what you do, but if you were accused of this do you really think your employer would have seen every single bit of evidence in the case against you? Heard both sides of the story from both parties? Not likely.

They’ve heard from one Partey

Your prerogative but what she is alleging/presenting is absolutely worthy of discussion.

£156,976 is an oddly specific amount of money.

any DM suggestions? we gotta act pretty fast on this one.

Except I am not a public figure and the reputation of the club is far bigger than having Partey in the squad, so I sincerely hope they have investigated this far beyond what you or I are able to read up on the internet…

@Phoebica

It’s not based on this though, there is a totality of evidence and allegations

You simply cannot have Partey play for this football club whilst these allegations have not been resolved or his liability, either criminal or civil has been clarified. IF it’s true a technically means the UK police cannot prosecute, a private investigation has to be conducted to examine evidence and credibility.

Club should suspend him with pay now regardless. Send the right message that football isn’t more important than sexual assault victims

We are talking about football clubs who would create tshirt to support a player accused of racism or thinking ESL was a good idea.

I’m not trying to minimize her allegations and probably shouldn’t have called it a drunken tweet storm. As I said before, if I had to come down on one side or the other, I believe her.

I just think you need to have a full look at the evidence and the investigative body that is doing that is the police - they are the ones with the ability and training to best do it. That doesn’t mean you pretend nothing happened if there are no charges necessarily. But you let that process play out first and see what the investigation reveals before you launch your own investigation or make a decision that effectively ends his Arsenal tenure.

Look I’m sure they’ve taken plenty of legal advice here, but if the evidence is these messages then I think it’s safe to say nobody at the club has seen them until today.

Maybe I’ve misinterpreted what you meant but it sounded like they’d come to a better conclusion based on some kind of thorough investigation of the facts which they have no grounds to do. They can only make a judgement call on what they’re presented, which until this point was no charge and I assume their employee saying it was false. Plenty of us were saying they were doing the acceptable thing given the same facts.

The Arsenal comms team will be in fucking CRISIS mode right now lol

Emails, texts and calls are going to be flying around 100mph.

Good thing All Or Nothing wasn’t around for this

Good thing Edu and Arteta didn’t speak so highly of this group.

True…but the allegations have been known by the club since November.

Might have to edit Thomas out of the show tbh
