Thomas Partey (5)

I may be missing something here but surely he must know something about these rumours and if it’s not him wouldn’t he just put a statement out denying anything to do with it?

I mean you’ve had a couple of different North London players make obvious posts about it not being them - so yes haha

Partey not in the squad

Arsenal: Turner, Bellerin, Walters, Mari, Tierney, Lokonga, Maitland-Niles, Smith Rowe, Pepe, Nketiah, Nelson.

Subs: Runarsson, Okonkwo, Cedric, Sousa, Gabriel, Elneny, Smith, Patino, Oulad M’hand, Marquinhos, Martinelli, Balogun, Jesus.

Yeah he’s 100% fucked

Is there any possibility the allegations are false therefore Arsenal laying low and not commenting until it clears in the background? Or do you guys think they would defo make a statement if they thought they were false?

There is a zero percent chance their lawyers would sign off on that.

Not sure “he’s not that sort of player” counts for this.

Nobody at a football club has any business having any opinions on it while it’s under active investigation.

They’re laying low because there’s nothing to say until the police say there’s something to say.

I think everyone’s doing everything right so far, though it’ll be interesting to see what Arteta has to say.

You’d expect the press office to let journalists know that they can’t comment on anything that hasn’t been made public and UK based journalists would know what they can and can’t print.

Would that stop someone from saying “Hey where’s Partey wink wink?” probably not, but I think everyone is avoiding the topic until something becomes public.

Oh sweet summer child, you think UK journalists care about the law?

Oh I don’t think they care at all, but I’m not sure any beat reporter is going to blow up their access asking a question like that.

I’m not really familiar with this area of the law, but I wonder what stops a foreign press agency printing his name. It happened with a case here in NZ where an accused murderer (now convicted) had his name printed in the UK press (his victim was a girl from the UK).

Where is party?

Oh now that’s an interesting question and definitely something a professor would put on an exam.

Same thing happened to Sigurdsson, he wasn’t (and still hasn’t) been named as the guy behind that trouble last year, but Icelandic media willingly just name dropped him

Did he play today?

Take a guess

This shit right here makes me think he might be getting the Amber Heard treatment. It might be presumptuous but a woman who looks like that is not worried about your religion. That was such a weird red flag when he started talking about that.
