I am travelling to Oxford tomorrow. Those country roads might be a bit sketchy ![]()
Yep. It’s so grey and now the leaves mostly dropped it looks properly bleak out there.
@YJYUX Oxford is just about in the amber warning area for heavy rain, however, the latest rain radar suggests it’s gone further north than forecast, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Bleak? Love this weather!

Cheers mate. It was bucketing it down throughout some of the journey and some of the dips in the cou try roads had to be taken with caution. Back home now, safe and sound.
I bloody hate the rain.
No snow in the South East, btu fuck me it’s cold.
First time this year that I’ve had to have the heating on most of the day.
Yes, it’s been a while since winter hit us early. A nasty shock to the system after a very mild autumn.
Getting milder over the weekend but the current set-up not ideal and we could be in the freezer again in a week or so.
Yep, damn cold out there right now.
Only just noticed that it’s 1°C outside. Nights like this remind me of how awful being homeless was.
I’m in the midst of a fight about my energy usage with the gas company so can’t turn mine on atm.
Basically they’ve overclocked all year so I’m now underusing to get higher compensation, but it’s fucking freezing today and my flat is notoriously good for keeping heat, so don’t know how others are managing.
Not suprised, they probably thought you were actually at home.
That’s the funny bit, everytime I’m not home the smart meter runs up by about 50kwh!
They finally fixed it the other day and turns out it’s been self opening the valve somehow, so now I’ve got to show my actual usage for them to compare and compensate.
Cheeky twats have said they’ll look at the next 3 months for comparison. Both during winter temps and the only time I’m consistently home ![]()
Hope you don’t mind me asking, but when was you homeless? Personally, it is something I hate to see and it is a growing issue.
Good luck with that!
I’ve just realised that I am £2,500 in credit and think I am going to have a battle to get a refund from them!
Oh a long time ago now, but you never forget those bitingly cold nights.
I was in the office yesterday rou d London Brodge and we actually got 10 to 15 minutes of fat snowflakes around 10am. Came as a complete surprise.
Thankfully fucked off before I had to go outside again.
If the trend continues, we might actually get a white Christmas.
I’m hoping you were talking about the weather as opposed to going all right wing on us and going round at London Bridge calling fat people snowflakes because you disagreed with their views! ![]()
That’s tough mate, I’m sorry to hear that. No one should be homeless in this day and age.
