The Grenfell Fire

You couldn’t even get away with this excuse if you were a University student and you had an essay due ffs

That’s so true as well.

This government is unashamedly corrupt, and it’s becoming increasingly embarrassing for the nation domestically and globally.

That’s quite disgusting. And they’ll get away with it as well.

I find it almost unbelievable.

Files from whose laptop the builders?

People are so docile and have far too much of a “stiff upper lip” attitude for anything to change.

And Facebook

It’s the company who designed and installed the cladding, not the government

Was that who "lost " the files? If so its pretty predictable, most site agents don’t have good WiFi or back up anything on site, they probably just yeetd the laptop as soon as something happened.

It was on the designers laptop. He did a windows fresh install. The company claims they didn’t back up the design on their system.

The thing is it’s very doubtful they haven’t got any records of designs as they will have likely installed this cladding on many buildings. It’s obviously they know they’ve commited manslaughter and are looking to cover up their failings.

Yes very doubtful Grenfell was unique in design. Hope the culprits get everything they deserve. Absolute pond life.

Wtf does it take too stir people from apathy in this country.
Never seen a more horrendous act that was Grenfell treated so dismissively by MPs, media and very sadly the general public.
Been treated from day one as second class citizens and here we are years later still denied justice and the very least dignity.
We have now got a statement of guilt and as the tweet says how is this not huge.
Tragedy that this was the very least that should be done is rewarding these people with decent housing and giving them a decent restart in life. Absolutely appalling lack of foresight and compassion and common decency been shown to these people.

Damn right! Appalling there’s so little coverage of this.

Always reminded of your post in the BLM thread about public enquiries. This is the norm now homie I’m afraid.

I have read very little about the findings released today but this tweet by Andrew Allen really caught me. (He seemingly worked with someone who died that night).

I only just finished listening to a podcast on the Boeing scandal and the two things have similarities. This happened because of corporate greed and if people had done their jobs properly (been allowed to even) it simply wouldn’t have.

I hope the victims and their families have some peace today.

Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. I’ve seen if from an installer point of view. The likes of the companies that provided that material and concealing certain test data is devious though.

True. And probably applies to most walks of life.
