This is just our version of “ole at the wheel” when needed Arteta will get these results, same way Ole does which is nice, but ultimately he’s not good enough (and that’s been proven over his two years here) and we will lose some again and get shown up by lesser teams and finally be around the 5th-9th place finishes come end of the season. Not good enough.
I just pray to God that (despite evidence to the contrary) our board aren’t dumb enough hold on to this cunt same way yanited have with Ole because we’ve finally started winning games we should be winning anyway

Nah love you guys but have to disagree, would rather finish 2nd than 8th with an FA cup. 2nd and 3rd places finish’s would of done so much more for us as a club at this time than another FA cup win. Champions league football, a lot more money, better quality of players etc…

I feel like you’re ignoring a pretty horrendous part of our recent history where we qualified for the CL all the time, approached the CL like bitches, and couldn’t win a trophy to save our lives.
We were ridiculed rightfully during that period until Wenger got his shit together and decided to run a train on the FA Cup back to back like the boss he once was. Should have retired on that Chelsea win really.
Arteta walked right in and won that against tough opposition throughout, it’s not massive but it’s not nothing.

I’m not saying it’s nothing, I celebrated as much as anyone. But the FA cup doesn’t hold that kind of value anymore.
We got embarrassed in the CL because of Wenger and his refusal to spend on squad improvements, we had man like Sanogo playing against Munich our team was actually joke.
Since Wenger has left the board has proved that it is willing to spend, the money we would of made for just qualifying for the CL would of meant we could of bought more players in positions we need or better players for the positions we need.
Finishing outside of the top 4 for what will be 5 years next year is incredibly damaging to our prestige, our brand and our finances. We are currently a mid table team, Winning an FA cup does not change or mitigate the damage in my opinion.
None of us give a fuck about who wins the Spanish or Italian or German domestic cups, but we all care about who makes it into the CL. That’s the reality of the modern game in my opinion.
So to me personally I would always pick being in the top 4 over a league cup or an FA cup.
Note: Just be clear this does not mean I don’t want us to win trophies, but I think finishing in the top 4 is more of an accomplishment at this point.
