They signed Cody on a deal as well apparently. Theyāve got deals with Arsenal, Barca, Bayern among others.
Logan and JJ must not be short of money, thatās for sure.
For what is worth, their drinks absolutely suck.

WM 40 day 1 was a 9/10. Great booking and flow for the matches.
How was Rock?
At the top of his game all things considered. Was the biggest draw of the match from start to finish. He was in shape and kept the pace.
Obviously, they toned down his actual wrestling and upād his antics/shenanigans but it worked well given the context of the match.
Top work from Cody, Roman and the Rock.
Good to hear, thanks.
Really? I found it rather boring until the last two fights came on.
The Lil Wayne cameo for 25 seconds was so pointless and the fight between the Usoās was just super kicking each other.
I thought Samiās entrance was brilliant and his performance. The main event was cinematic.
For me if I compare it to previous WMās, 3/10. Iām sure tomorrow will be even better.
His approach was very efficient. You can tell he is cautious.
I think at one point his ankles or knees went lol.
Yeah I felt the Uso was abit wasted, weakest match of the night despite the potential. Surprised rikishi hasnāt even got involved at all in the feud.
Jey entrance at fastlane was much better. Wheeling out Wayne didnāt really do āitā for me.
3/10 is a bit harsh. What would you rate the main event itself?
Gave in and watched it, I enjoyed it overall!
As someone who primarily watches AEW/NJPW and some indies these days it was obviously pretty different to what Iām used to, and despite the utterly atrocious product placement stuff the production/camera work/entrances etc felt HUGE and incredibly impressive.
I really didnāt like the Uso superkick party, but everything else I got atleast some enjoyment out of.
Thought Rock looked surprisingly fantastic given his age, it felt quite predictable in terms of who was winning to set up the match tonight, but the match was a lot of fun.
I also watched some of Stand & Deliver, that opening tag and triple threat SLAPPED
I guess theyāll pop a number on Wednesday but I canāt see a scenario where this genuinely helps their product going forward in any way. Perry aināt even on AEW TV.
This is AEWās āthatāll put some butts in seatsā isnāt it?
Mania was okay. Jey vs Jimmy was terrible. Sooo happy for Sami and it was a shock too.
Yeah this seems so unnecessary at this point. It had all died down until Punks interview, but thereās absolutely no reason to give it any more thought or attention, just move on.
Itāll probably be used as a means to get Perry back on TV, probably with the Elite so the Bucks can troll Punk a bit, but I can imagine it just backfiring and leading to more LOL @ AEW stuff tbh.
Itās just stupid to put that on your TV. Just leak it to your media pals and let it catch fire if youāre that desperate.
Even so, how can this make Punk look bad? Perhaps he got his ass whooped(nobody has reported such version of the story yet), well we saw him get his ass whooped in UFC, big deal.
He instigated the fight, ok, he didnāt recall the incident exactly but then he looks like a badass for beating up Perry anyway.
He didnāt instigate the fight, well that makes him look like he was innocent all along.
All this will do is pop a rating, maybe pop the quarter and get 800k viewers. It still wonāt help the overall state of AEW.
Yeah absolutely. Itās just not needed at this point.
Like I love AEW, it got me back into watching wrestling again after years out, BUT they have pretty major problems and they should focus on fixing those instead of trying to get one over on a former employee.
Dynasty is soon, focus on Ospreay/Danielson, Swerve/Joe etc⦠Thereās so much good but they get bogged down with stupid shit so so often.
I really want to get into AEW, I just canāt stand Tony Khan and The Bucks lmao. They come across as childish when they are in powerful positions
Yeah I must say it is difficult being a fan at times lol, for all the good thereāll be something that makes you go oh ffs with just how bad it is.
I think not only does Tony have to be a firmer boss, he also needs major help with booking the shows and where they run shows etc. They have to be hemorrhaging money with the small attendances and massive contracts theyāre handing out.
If not, thereāll definitely be a DSOTR episode or a Death of AEW documentary within the next 10 years at most, and thatād suck to see.
Potentially big spoiler for tonight, or tomorrow night:
Jacob Fatu has finally signed with WWE.
Just seen Day 1. Thought it was OK.
Coulda done more to push Jade. Agree with everything said about the Usos match. And the finish to the Mysterio match
Other than that, not bad. Gunther v Mustafi had some real WM7 Warrior v Macho Man vibes for me.
And a main event involving the Rock is never going to disappoint!
6/10.
Never seen a ladder match like that with two separate titles up for grabs. Was that announced in advance?
Sami / Gunther was match of the night for me. The main event was terrific as expected. Last few years Night 1 has outshone Night 2 but seems like it could be visa versa this year.
Also, why are people debating Indy wrestling on Wrestlemania weekend?
Because WM weekend or not other types of wrestling exist outside of the WWE :ramsdale:
