To be fair, Hogan was over like crazy after Wrestlemania 18. It was the first real nostalgia run in WWE I can think of and people went in on it hard.
It was the Undertaker and Rock runs that were unneeded. Presented the right way, Hogan being crushed by Brock could have been just as effective a coronation as his win over Rock. As it was, Brock got a pretty memorable win over Hogan on Smackdown.
Brock battering Hogan and beating him clean? That doesn’t work for me, brother
As I recall he submitted him with a bear hug and wiped Hogan’s blood on his own chest
He did though.
Been offered a ticket to the big AEW event next weekend, interested to know if people think it’s worth taking up?!
They got anyone on their books Id give a fuck about as an Attitude era wrestling fan?
This is the card so far:
• MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole for the AEW World championship
• FTR (c) vs. The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team titles
• Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Saraya. vs. Dr. Britt Baker vs. Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World championship
• The Golden Elite (Hangman Page, Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) vs. Bullet Club Gold (Juice Robinson & Jay White) & Konosuke Takeshita
• Chris Jericho vs. Will Ospreay
• Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) & MYSTERY PARTNERS vs. Eddie Kingston, Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix), Orange Cassidy & Best Friends (Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor) in Stadium Stampede
• AR Fox & Swerve Strickland vs. Darby Allin & Sting in a Coffin Match
• Aussie Open (c) vs. MJF & Adam Cole for the Ring of Honor Tag titles
There are other matches to be announced, possibly in 2 hours.
Punk v Joe is definitely one of them.
It’s gonna be a good show but you should take into account it’s gonna be long one like Wrestlemania. I reckon the main show will last 5 hours, and then the pre-show will either be 1 or 2 hours long.
I’m actually gonna go to a mates and watch it. An excuse for a few of us who all watched WWE back then to get together for the first time in a while.
I suspect we’ll both end up bored of it but at least I’ll be able to get in my car and go home within 15 mins if that happens.
So only relevant name I see there is Chris Jericho.
Not dragging my arse into London on a Sunday for Jericho alone.
No love for Sting?
I’m a WWE/WWF man, I don’t care about that cheap “The Crow” knock off, dude stole Brandon Lee’s whole flow
Surfer Sting >> Crow Sting
Sting after facing Rollins until leaving WWE > All other versions of Sting
Any more news on Cash Wheeler?
Apparently he should be good. FTR are advertised to speak on Collision in a bit. I think they would pull the plug on the match if they thought it would be a problem.
Seems a bit inconsistent with AEW’s previous, correct approach with Jeff Hardy. When he was arrested he was immediately suspended.
This guy is meant to have pistol whipped a stranger over a road rage incident. I understand wanting to deliver the advertised match for the big show but still, I’m not sure he should be performing.
Apparently he’s entered a not guilty plea which might be affecting AEW’s thinking, but then I think Jeff did at first too.
Think both their records probably played a role here.
Plus, I think in Jeff’s last fuck-up he was caught in the act(or I may be misremembering). From what I understood about this seems to be a he said, she said situation. This is all based on the accuser.
Bald rikishi, no?
