Stone Cold Might Be The 🐐

No Way Out 2000, memory serves me right Cactus Jack vs Triple H is considered by many to be the best man Hell in a Cell match ever

HBK is a babyface who still acts like a heel and Bret is in a decent feud with Jerry Lawler. I’m only halfway through 95 and Bret is having the better year. Bret Hart vs Hakushi at In Your House 1 is an hidden gem. Stole the show.

BTW I recently was made aware of Santino. I can imagine many wouldn’t like him, but I found his habit of comedically mispronouncing people’s names to be pretty funny, not to mention The Cobra being a delightfully ridiculous finisher. The way he sets it up by tapping his arm and then turning the “head” of the snake into place just ends me, I don’t know why.

Who’s the GOAT comedy relief character in WWE?

Think Santino and R-Truth are in the conversation.

I know it’s easy to look back at 95 now and realise it wasn’t great but damn as a young kid at the time the year holds some fond memories for me.

From celebrating like crazy thinking we had a British winner in the rumble, it was still real to me at that age, then the confusion and inevitable anger after Michaels was crowned winner.

The iron man match with Michael’s sailing down from the top of the arena. Don’t remember seeing anything like it previously.

Bret Hart, Razor, Diesel, Taker all some of my favourites at the time and the last full year with them in the fed.

Vader joining and that spot with Gorilla Monsoon.

Definitely easy to look back at that time with rose tinted glasses and nostalgia but if I was to sit through Raw and all the ppvs now I’d likely be far more critical of it. Likely comparable to how a lot of the children have felt about the product the last 10-15 years, whereas as adults we compare it the eras we’ve lived through.

Kurt Angle, purely because at the flick of a switch he could be a convincing serious bastard as well. Don’t think anyone has been able to go from one extreme to the other in the way he did.

Wrestling Machine Kurt Angle is my favourite Kurt Angle

Backlash 2000 is such an anomaly, usually such a B show that year it had what should have been the Wrestlemania main event.

Dirt sheets saying WWE are bringing in a new World Title tonight.

I presume new titles with the Draft coming soon?

PLOT TWIST

Wtf?

I thought AEW were planning for his return and it’s been rumoured WB booked a new primetime show around him.

Tbh, I can see that playing a factor. Punk is simply too big a star, he should be leveraging a bigger pay from Tony or he can take his services elsewhere.

Triple H trying to sign Punk and Vince blocking it will eventually start a civil war within WWE lol

Money will be the biggest factor like you said. Dudes a massive draw and anyone would want him. It’ll be about who offers the highest amount of money. Which will be WWE I think.

What if Omos vs Seth Rollins is a smokescreen :eyes:

Funny thing is though, Vince will soon not have the power to say anything about it.

There’s genuine money in Punk v Reigns and the new owners will want to explore that while Punk has a few matches left in him.

I think one of 2 things is happening here:

  1. Punk is forcing Tony Khans hand to fire him.
  2. AEW and Punk have planned all this out to drum up interest for his AEW return

I think Punk’s just fucking with everyone personally.

If the reports are to be believed, AEW is getting a new show because of him. I don’t think it will go down well with WB execs if the guy they want is fired. TK can’t do it with what’s at stake here.

I believe this is a proper power play from Punk. Probably leveraging more power from Tony or perhaps a better deal, while’s also opening up the door to WWE in case they want to do business.
