There were rumours yesterday that someone close thinks heās got the wrestling bug again.
Not particularly surprised, it was clear to he did when he joined AEW and even on his way out at All Out it was clear he was passionate about it still, hence why he blew like that. His whole point was that many of the minds backstage werenāt being used and that the whole company wasnāt being run properly.
He still has something to give to the business. Heās got a bunch of friends in WWE and I reckon many of the people he hit it off in AEW wonāt stay there for long.
Shouldnāt have removed the spoilers. @DavidHillier is trying his hardest to avoid running into them.
Also, not particularly hard to keep track of whatās going on. Do you think Iām unreasonable with my criticism about Cabana and Jarrett not being worthy of hyping up a show?
AEW is going into a PPV and for the first time in a while there isnāt a single interesting storyline going. At least in the past there was a story or two that were good and kinda carried the whole thing.
As someone who used to subscribe to AEW+ via FITE I had to cancel it as it isnāt worth it anymore. Hell, I even earned credit out of buying previous PPVs that now are in the bin because they expire soon and my choices are shit.
Theyāll get eyes on the product for sure. But I thought we left the whole āPutting newcomers ahead of actual wrestlers who have deserved pushesā in the past when Vince retired. Iāll give Logan Paul a pass because he actually cares about the business and Vince did bring him in. The Olatunji brothers can fuck off though donāt wanna see them anywhere near the WWE. They can skip to their shitty YouTube boxing no one cares about.
The match with Owens was really well done. KO bumped like crazy making Austin look a million bucks, but Austin was far better than anyone could have reasonably expected too.
It was a lot of fun and a highlight of this yearās Mania. Iād have no worries about him doing another one.
The reality is heās the biggest draw in the history of the sport so if you put him at a major PPV heās going to sell seats and drive up views. Thatās just how great he is.
Iād rather he stayed retired but whenever Austin comes back my eyes are glued. Heās got an entire generation of wrestling fans whoād still pay to see him
Wonder what matches are theyāre considering. Is he willing to put someone over?
Austin v Cena, Austin v Lesnar and Austin v Reigns can be big money matches.
Thatās what IWC are dream booking but I canāt see it.
Although, considering what we saw from Punk and MJF, a Punk v Austin feud with Heyman being involved creatively could be another all-timer.
That promo battle is gonna be must see.
I think itās gonna be Austin v Lesnar myself, if it happens. And if Austin is open to more then weāll see Austin v Reigns.
From what Iāve read and heard Lesnar has a reputation for being one of the safest in the business. The guy is a freak in terms of his quality in the ring, I canāt imagine an opponent that Austin would be in better hands with from a health perspective to be honest and when Lesnar was on Austinās show on the Network he talked about Stone Cold being the one guy he wanted to work with and hadnāt had the chance to.
He would have to stay away from the German suplexes though
