Not registering Chambers makes no difference unless we are over the 7 homegrown too. Martinelli doesn’t need to be registered as under 21.

Ah yes and I think we can have as many homegrown players as possible.

We can have a 25 man squad with a maximum of 17 non home grown.
Our home growns are
- Macey
- Holding
- Chambers
- Bellerin
- Maitland-Niles
Then Eddie and Joe Willock are 21 so I’m not sure if they’d be included or not this year.
Edit: Illev could be on the home grown list too if we wanted a 4th keeper in the squad
I remember the first season of this rule, Arsenal submitted a list of 50 or so youth players in the homegrown category
Every club does.
Sokratis and Soares all day long, no need for an 7th choice CB or 3rd choice RB.

Surely Mari wouldn’t be registered because he’s out until nearly the end of the year anyway? So it would make sense just to register him in January and then obviously deregister someone like Sokratis.
Or maybe I’m just wrong and it’s clear neither guy is really anything more than the handy work of Raul doing favours for agents.
