Serie A

Torino are already preparing a new contract for him going up from €1 million to €1.5 million a year until 2029,I really can’t see that lasting long lol.

I didn’t take much notice of Ricci last year and like you as soon as he took over from Jorginho in that classic regista role I’ve started to think Spalletti is rebuilding piece by piece from the back .

Exciting times ahead.

It’s only a short clip there are longer ones if you can stomach the awful music, but i miss this guy along with Dries Mertens banging in the goals.

FM Legend Hamsik

Have a feeling sending Tammy to Milan will turn out a horrendous move for Roma and potentially what costs them to yet again getting back into the Champions League.

Napoli riding high again, Conte rules ok @SRCJJ

I mean, they did lose 3-0 to Verona. And Juve next.

My point being they are sitting at the top of the table

It will most likely go bad at some point but for now just enjoy it.
Conte’s a winner and it seems like he’s woken up the Napoli team that was went on holiday last season.

It’d be nice to see a proper fight for Serie A this season as well rather than a team essentially winning it by January/February.
Still early but Juve, Napoli and Inter stand out from the rest.

Conte is just the man. It’s hilarious how United fans turned their noses up at him and wanted the nerd manager choice in EtH lol.

Italian managers translate very well in England. No nationality of manager has won the PL more than Italians.

Lukaku is gonna look like a bargain, be interesting next week first time Conte has faced Juventus with a crowd present.

Juventus looking toothless these past couple games too. Rock solid at the back.

Gatti has been immense.

Biggest missed opportunity not to sack Ole in the summer of 2021 and hire Conte who became available.

Perfect guy to get 2-3 years out of that team at that gime and then they could have gone for a rebuild(like it ended up happening anyway).

The thing about Conte is as well if he is backed with the signings he wants he basically never leaves a team in bad shape. Inter and Juventus were both massively better off when he left than when he arrived.

Conte, Ancelotti, Mancini and Ranieri right?

Must be Scots next on two with Fergie and Dalgleish

I wonder if there’s a single other domestic league in the world that has never been won by a manager from that country.

Granted, you’d only go as far back as 92, as it is only the PL that hasn’t been won by an English manager, not the league itself.

Still reckon you probably wouldn’t find another league that’s true of though.

Ahem George Graham

He didn’t win the PL though.

Don’t get me wrong, his win is just as valid, I don’t think football was invented in 1992 lol, but SRCJJ said “PL”, so that’s why I counted just two Scots.

Cos if it wasn’t PL specific, you’d have more English league winning managers than Italians. Probably more Scots than Italians too as you’d include Graham and Shankly, making things level on 4, and I’m willing to bet that there several other Scots I’m not aware of without further research.

Yea wasn’t concentrating properly didn’t notice just PL

1992 just feels so arbitrary given Howard Wilkinson won it the year before.
