Amazing, love another scudetto for Milan.

Giroud just 3 goals behind OAā€™s dream striker Osimhen.

3 different title winners in Serie A last 3 seasons, thatā€™s kind of good to see tbh.

Itā€™s been a very competitive league over the last 5 years

Wish there was more money in the league. Real shame to see how leagues in Europe have declined in quality due to lack of money to attract better quality players and managers

Heā€™s only started 23 games and had a bad facial injury during the season as well as some muscular issues. Heā€™s finally finding his feet in the team and his goal return is excellent. 14 in 23 starts is good

And he offers a lot to the team his profile as a forward is great

Giroud winning the league for Milan. Another ex Arsenal player who left the club to win titles elsewhere :smiling_face_with_tear:

How many minutes has Giroud played?

Inter and Milan both breaking the streaks in back to back seasons.

Juventus really won this thing 10x in a row. Sheesh.

Not sure think heā€™s played slightly less games than Osimhen. Maybe one or two less games but no idea on minutes.

So heā€™s done well then?

They gave the job to Pirlo,

Give the guy his props. Heā€™s been a key piece of the core and contributed in big moments

We can all be selective with stats. Yes he has contributed as you posted above.

But I could also say until today he went like 2 in 10 in the run in and got a lot of help from midfielders scoring.

Bottom line is this, any half decent striker would have been able to do what he has done at Milan.

Problem is he basically disappeared down the stretch once again. Before today, he had something like 2 in his last 10, which is the kind of form that cost us better chances at silverware while he was here.

Milan still won the league despite that stretch of a drought because they had goals coming from elsewhere, which is something every ambitious team needs. Iā€™m not saying Giroud is the next coming of Ronaldo(Brazilian), because he isnā€™t. But every striker goes through a barren spell every now and then, and that the drought of some particular players gets highlighted more than others.

@SRCJJ any change to your thoughts on Pioli?

Sure they do, but the good ones tend to have them less otherwise wouldnā€™t every striker score the same amount of goals?

Problem with Giroud is that when heā€™s the main guy up front and relied on to score goals he ends up having these barren spells. He did it in the season we lost the title to Leicester, didnā€™t he go like 20 games without scoring that year?

Heā€™s fine as a backup that provides another option for a team, but the guy is flat out not good enough to be the main striker at a top team.

Love Nicky Bandini

She proper knows her stuff in terms of Italian football.

Yeah, having Giroud as our striker wasnā€™t the problem during his(and Arseneā€™s) later years, but that he was our only striker and we didnā€™t have another striker with different attributes who couldā€™ve provided us with a different approach when the going got tough.

Chuffed for Milan. We need such clubs to be relevant again.
