Why is this the first time I’m hearing about this?

.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

From recent years probably Santi Cazorla, but going back further take your pick from any of the invincibles really :grin:

Patrick Vieira is probably the one I’d say. At the moment we have a bunch of midfielders who don’t score and who don’t defend.

A better question at this point might be who did we adequately replace?

Lee Dixon

Tony Adams… Never replaced him as a centre half, and never ever came close to replacing him as a leader!

I don’t think it’s possible. He’s the guy when it comes to that role at Arsenal same as Terry at Chelsea, Gerard at Liverpool, Keane at united and Sol Campbell at spurs (lol).

Vieira weren’t half bad after learning from the best :wink:

“Didn’t replace XYZ” has to go down as the most used phrase in Arsenal folklore

But would you trust Vieira with your housekeys? That’s the mark of a great midfielder.

In more recent times, I’d say Alexis Sanchez. There was a big drop in our attacking power after his departure IMO. He had a combination of scoring and creating. Aubameyang replaced his goals for sure but not the all round game. I thought Pepe could be the player to give what Alexis did but nope.

Argh I thought his contract was up this summer

Nightclubs back in England from the summer so we are gonna need Bouncers again

I think he means most bouncers are nasty, no nonsense Scotsmen.

(That’s the only plausible conclusion I can come to)
