Maybe Real see City as more of threat in the CL. That’s where we have an edge

I agree, if he goes to a top PL side it won’t be anywhere other than Man City because Liverpool don’t need him and our business is probably done, unless we can get Eze, which seems unlikely.
I mean, they knocked City out and we annihilated them over 2 legs so that would be some pretty poor analysis on their part

Overall, Guardiola being a more capable manager than Mikel (until he proves otherwise), is likely to get more out of Rodrygo, which would make them a bigger threat in the CL.
Let’s hope Real don’t see it the way you do, assuming City are even interested in Rodrygo.

I mean, I was only being semi serious. And I do get your point.
But, Madrid exist for the European Cup. I’d be surprised if they forget what we did to them any time soon. Not that I think that will affect their transfer business. I just don’t imagine they’ll think we’re less of a threat in Europe than City (for example).
Pass, we’re crap at selling players as it is, let alone someone on 300k per week which means a pool of 3/4 teams globally you can sell to, ignoring a bail out from Saudi which is itself reliant on the player wanting to go there
