Just curious about letting Martinelli leave and replacing with Rodrygo and Eze. I’m keen on the incomings, but personally, I think we should be letting go of Trossard.

I’d rather Trossard be the fall guy also, however, may be the case that Martinelli needs o be let go in order to fund/offset these transfers

I really don’t see us getting much more out of Martinelli, he’s a one dimensional, bad winger for us now.
I would hope we have the money without having to make a significant sale, but you may be right that if a significant offer comes in, we may not be able to turn it down.
I think he offers something different. If we sign Rodrygo and Eze, IMO Trossard is a similar profile to them. Martinelli at least offers a wide option, and can play on the right wing as a backup. The depth of the squad is stronger with Martinelli, rather than without him.

Eze and Rodrygo means Martinelli is obsolete
Rodrygo can play the LW role in the way we actually need, Eze and Trossard are not similar to him in that respect. Also Eze offers a change up and versatility in other positions
The RW backup thing makes no sense with Nwaneri in the wings
He simply wouldn’t be needed, speaks volumes there’s been no recent talks of contract extension for him.

The way this reads is as if it’s directed at Rodrygo. I do wonder if there is a specific reason Madrid want Rodrygo himself to request leaving.
Madrid or better yet Perez had no problem telling anyone, however important they were, to pack their bags and go.
Maybe there is some loyalty bonus involved.
