Rodrygo

Well done you. The point I’m making is that you are likely to have some investment if you team is playing in a competition, even if it is the CWC.

You literally asked. You just don’t like that it wasn’t the answer you wanted.

If we were in this I wouldn’t be watching it. It’s a glorified (glorified with money) pre season tournament.

Slight confession, I barely watch Arsenal’s pre season games. I’ve probably watched about 10-15 total and all of them I didn’t pay much attention.

I absolutely wouldn’t give the slightest damn about this made up cash grab shambles if we were in it.

Actually, seems like Madrid changed approach at the last minute because only Rudiger came on, when it looked like Munoz was also coming on.

Maybe Rodrygo gets some time after all.

Id be 50/50 on the charity shield. It wouldn’t take much to convince me to ditch it. And i once watched a huge chunk of the Kabaddi world cup!

With respect, you go out of your way most of the time to disagree with me, irrespective of what I’m saying. I am simply making the point that if you support a team in the competition you may be interested in the competition. Completely agree it has little to no interest for everyone else. And fair play to anyone who isn’t interested in pre-season games as well. Personally, if Arsenal were in the competition, I’d be following it, in the same way I do my best to follow pre-season.

Ok, not sure what the delay was for but Munoz has finally come on. Rodrygo is officially an unused sub this game.
For what is worth, Munoz is an Castilla forward. Same for Garcia who started the game.

Very odd, maybe Rodrygo and Alonso had that talk after all.

It’s all fun and games until Rodrygo scores the winner in the final and Madrid use the prize money to buy Saliba on deadline day.

Hardly, we haven’t made any voting jokes recently!

You haven’t and you’re fair with your comments, even when disagreeing with me.

Stink up the first game and can’t even get on in the second and people want him for 80-100m.

Oh dear

He’s a quality player. £80m is a good price for him.

Agreed on the first game but I doubt he wasn’t involved in the second game because he isn’t good enough. Under normal circumstances he would have started or at the very least be one of the first names off the bench.

I do share some of your concerns on him though. He hasn’t been delivering for months now. I don’t buy some of the excuses used.

Think it would be a gigantic overpay.

He dosnt have qualities that make him best in the world potential. He’s not fast or strong, not particularly great 1v1. His work rate is nothing special. He dosnt over perform xG.

He’s just an all round good footballer but not elite at any one thing. We shouldn’t be paying for the Madrid brand.

Rodry-go!

There seems to be a bit of a divide on whether or not Rodrygo is worth it.

Which is it then?

I’m more impressed by Diaz or Guler

He might still genuinely be the ‘best player available’ to steal a phrase from the NFL. Difference there is it’s about free signings from the draft so the risk is lower.

I think if he’s available we will take him, I just hope the fee is not too high because he’s really got a lot to prove for me. To not be involved for kvara at 67m and then end up with Rodrygo for 80m would be painful, I’m not sure what he’s done to come with that price tag.

Do people genuinely believe Kvara was going to go anywhere other than PSG? We may very well have enquired and been told immediately his only choice was PSG.

You make a good enough offer anyone will go anywhere across the big clubs.
