My earliest memory of him would be playing FIFA on the ps2 when I was just getting into football in the early 2000’s. Him and McCoist being the commentators.

50 years of commentating is absolutely incredible. What a life he lived he oversaw so many incredible eras, teams, matches.

77 is nothing these days, especially for a wealthy person. These things happen but I feel very slightly in shock, I didnt hear anything about failing health.
True legend of the game.
“Oh Ballack!” will always be one of my favourite funny bits of commentary, the way he couldn’t hide his annoyance at being denied the opportunity to see a quality goal will never not make me smile.
