I don’t think we see many free kick specialists.
If you go back to that particular period in the game:
Juninho, Ronaldinho, Pirlo, Beckham, Roberto Carlos, Del Piero
All had a high reputation for free kick taking.

What’s happened to my sport.
Should have been used as an AM in his latter years imo.
Players probably spending the time to practice freekicks in the gym to become more compatible for today’s game.
Even Henry was a free kick specialist and was scoring them somewhat regularly, and he barely gets a mention because there were so many “more specialised” players around.
I shouldn’t even start to name them, you always leave out a few masters because there were so many of them.
But I just can’t resist… Always LOVED free kicks and loved to train them. Was quite a Beckham fanboy as kid
Marcos Assuncao, Siniša Mihajlović, Pierre Van Hooijdonk, Rivaldo, Nakamura, Zidane, Zola, Hierro, Recoba, Ian Harte, Rogerio Ceni…
Why there aren’t almost any nowadays? They just don’t have enough time to train them with all the tactical data they have to learn lol, I’d assume.
Ode could curl one decently a couple of years ago, I think he scored two decent one’s. But I can’t even remember his last good attempt. Obviously he’s not even doing them in training anymore.
Just saw this on f/b:
Former Bayern president Uli Hoeneß: "We could charge more than €120 per season ticket. If we charge €350 per season ticket we would get €2m extra, but what does that mean for us?
The difference for a fan between €120 and €350 is enormous and we do not believe that fans are like cows, which are milked.
Football has to be for everyone. That is the biggest difference between us and England."

Start: Fabregas
Bench: Ødegaard
Sell: Özil
Depends on the team tbh with you and the approach to the game.
But:
Start: Cesc
Bench: Mezut
Sell: Odegaard
I like Odegaard but he’s not quite at the level of the other two yet.
We have been in a title race with Ødegaard two seasons in a row with him as captain.
Its a harsh reason from me but thats why I picked him over Özil

Appreciate this is not Arsenal related and people may not follow Madrid closely but if you do, where do you stand on Rodrygo?
My only opinion on him is that it is always going to seem petty and lame to complain about not being nominated for an individual award.
I understand his frustration because he had a solid season for Real and when you read the nominee list there’s a lot to players you think “really? Top 30 in the world”.
At the very least you’d imagine 22 goal contributions in 40 starts for La Liga and CL winning team would put you up there.
Lamine had a great Euros but would we really say his season for Barcelona was more outstanding than Rodrygo was for Real?
I have to say all the videos of these “barclaysmen” with 00’s music over the top are actually really good tbh. You should search a few out
I’m just surprised that the vintage Barclaysman pictured wasn’t Morten Fucking Gamst Pedersen.
Wtf is a Barclaysman?
My timeline is filled with Steven Pienaar, Lua Lua, and Kenweyne Jones comps
