Raheem Sterling (30)

He means Sterling is still getting paid 300k in the end(covered partly by Arsenal, partly by Chelsea).

Yeah, but it’s what’s covered by us is our concern. No fucks about what Chelsea coughs up. Even $140 on Sterling is a waste now anyway.

I wasn’t raising it as a concern, just laughing at the packet he’s got and the fact he’s getting such a ridiculous wage regardless of performance. No incentive and he’ll just go rot back at Chelsea.

Let’s hope Arteta has learned from this and signs players from ABC, or Anywhere But Chelsea.

if they are willing to sell Palmer, will you take him?

ABC is a bit over… just not the rejects or pensioners.

He’s the poster boy for the incompetence of the last two transfer windows.

You’re coming up on a critical season and you do a panic loan for Chelsea’s scraps.

If they sell Palmer it will be for around 150m so let Man U have him.
They’re in a league of their own when it comes to wasting money and Mount for 60m is up there with the worst of their signings. :grinning:

For me it’s clear that Sterling is not a guy for the wing position as he’s lost a step. I wish we’d have tried him at the false-9 but it’s too late now.

We just have to chalk it up as a failure and actually get a competent winger in the transfer market.

Sterling has been Arteta’s Kallstrom. One fairly good performance otherwise a total waste of space.

Scenes when he scores the winner in the Champions League final.

I really, really want that to happen.

Yeah, that would explain a lot lol

You can see his body language, the interviews etc, he simply doesn’t care about top level competitive football anymore.

Can’t blame him tbf, he’s had a great career already, not everyone pushes himself until the end.
We just made a mistake in not realising his state when getting him.

I’m still not too fussed about it at all, seems many are making too much out of it.
It’s just a loan ffs, paying him around 150k/p week. Nothing.
THE mistake was not getting any proper forward signing the last summer. In the end we just made a choice between getting him for a season or getting no one. He didn’t block anyone or anything, and didn’t cost us much.

Hopefully the waiting pays off when we get Williams in a couple of months. :santi: :martinelli:
