R. Madrid vs Arsenal (CL) 1-5!

I actually blame Real Madrid as a club for that more than him, they completely indulged in that childish behaviour and reinforced the idea in his mind that behaving like that is acceptable when they all pulled out of the ceremony. It said a lot about him but even more about that club, total arrogance and they just expect the rest of the footballing world to fall in line.

I’d argue Madrid have looked like right clowns throughout the season.

Beyond the Ballon d’Or shenanigans. They have been utterly embarrassed twice already by Barca this season, silly arguments within the team every other week, and have already thrown a parade for a comeback against us that never happened.

Nah I’m not having that. He’s been shit this season but there’s a massive drop off in quality from last season. He was immense especially in the second half of the season.

Was wondering what he was telling Arteta at FT. Classy Carlo as always. Very nice to hear he wished us well in the competition. Even from his words before the game it was clear that he respected our club very much and especially the work Arteta has been doing.

Last season he did start slowly but when it was money time he was bang on it

Not been quite at this season in the biggest moments but shit happens

I think the CL performances certainly swayed opinion but if you see him week to week, he’s been having these type of performances quite frequently.

He’s a great player but the whole fiasco about it being such an injustice for not winning the Ballon d’Or was a proper clown show.

You see him with Brazil as well, he’s supposed to be the main man with Neymar’s injuries and they’re fucking shit.

Cool but he’s done out here. Relying on individual talent again and didn’t show up with a game plan or viable system. He’s been bailed out time after time and finally got his just deserts this season. Cleaned up in this tie by a manager bringing an identity to the table.

Vini is class just timber played incredible and anything vini did put in was cleared by the CB’s. Not his best performances but nobody from Madrid played well really.

Mbappe practically fucking useless across both games, rodrygo a ghost and all Bellingham did was roll on the floor and cry to daddy.

We made them look pretty shit, there was just fear because of their history. PSG gonna be much harder but we can beat them.

There was a Real Madrid comeback - they comeback for one hell of a beating, yes.

PSG in the semi’s while Mfloppe goes missing when it matters most :eyes:

Whoever wins our tie needs to go all the way.

Just caught the highlights, and it was all us. Madrid did nothing the whole game by the looks of it. Will of course watch the replay. Should have beaten them 3-0 again had it not been for the missed penalty and Saliba’s lapse in concentration.

Absolutely chuffed about this and how we’ve basically outplayed and out maneuvered a team that not only are the holders of the CL, and have a huge pedigree in this tournament, but also one of the best managers the CL has seen. Just awesome stuff.

This has to be the silver lining to this shambles of a season. This is what these players & manager are capable of. Want to see more of this, consistently, year after year.

If not because of Courtois, they should have lost by 5 or 6 goals in first leg, and series was already over last week.

To dominate Real Madrid, the defending cL championfor two consecutive games.
Like you said if not because of a slack off by Saliba we could shut them out twice. We are talking about shutting out Real Madrid, not shutting out bottom teams in the league.

As an Arsenal fan for about 15 years, this is THE win that I’m most proud of.
Winning the FA cup(s) is great, but beating Real Madrid in the CL quarter has a much higher magnitude than all.

This is the win we are telling the world that Arsenal is back in Europe.

I still firmly believe, if not because of the freak injuries and blatant calls by the shit refs, we could have won the league this season.

Zero doubt on Arteta.

Three more to go, and this time we are definitely not the underdogs.

Really delicious to do these cunts in like this. We were far and away the better team over the two legs. Fuck them and their arrogant cunt fans. Such a vile club.

A lot of people now saying how this Madrid team aren’t that good etc yet everyone was happy to shit on us before the tie and say Madrid were favourites. And let’s not forget they won the comp last year and added Mbappe this year.
