So I can consider watching this live, rather than record and watch it the next day. Not saying I won’t still do that, depends on the team Mikel picks.
No first teamers in this please. I know we have to respect the tournament and all that shit but we can put a very experienced team out there without risking first team regulars. Mikel has to play Ramsdale in this one. He should get to taste the CL with Arsenal.

Part of me seriously thinks that Arteta is spiky enough that he’ll play Raya just to spite the media and everyone calling for Ramsdale to play

I agree.
If he does play Ramsdale and he’s MOTM, it puts Arteta in an awkward position if Raya has a poor performance against Brighton.
Also Raya needs a good game after some fairly underwhelming performances, so an almost meaningless CL match is the ideal opportunity to lift his confidence…
Certainly not beyond Mikel to do that.
I don’t think it would make a blind bit of difference to Arteta personally.
But I still have a strong feeling Ramsdale won’t play at all tonight.

I agree that it won’t make much difference to Arteta but certainly supporters that side with Ramsdale will become more vocal.
It also means that Raya is under more pressure and from what we’ve seen of him in recent games, pressure is something he doesn’t deal with very well.
At some point, if Raya doesn’t get to the required level, Arteta has to either go with Ramsdale again, or buy yet another GK, which is not ideal.
Actually, it’s not. I doubt they will take it easy on us. Home game against Arsenal, they get 2-3mif they win.
Arteta has already mentioned he’ll use the match for rotation so whoever the goalie is, he may not have the best of days with a most likely unfamiliar backline in front of him.
I don’t think Arteta cares what people think. But also, is everyone calling for Ramsdale to play? Does anyone really care?

Yeah, there will definitely be some first team players that will be involved.
I don’t think they pretty much all travelled for the vibes.
(Mind you, if it were up to me, almost none of the starters would have been involved)
