He would have suited Amorim’s wingback position
that’s such a boring prediction by them
Top 3 will be Liverpool, Arsenal and City in any order. the other place is up for grabs between Chelsea, Villa, Newcastle and maybe United/Spurs
The Premier League has spent more on player signings this summer than the other top five leagues combined.
Given half a chance I’m sure those other leagues would love to be able to do the same ![]()
How does the Saudi league spending compare to those?
Nothing overly special gone on there so far tbh, City done the best business but really can’t see anyone coming for the top 3 based on moves so far.
Down the other end Sunderland at least giving it a decent go and Kudus should help spurs stay up.
I expect Chelsea to be a bit stronger than they were last season. Probs not enough to break top 3 but they could pose problems for many teams; in a way could be a bit of a sleeper hit.
Leave it as a choice for the players. (Which it should’ve been anyway)
I saw someone indicate that may have been IP issues tied to the laces? Prompting the PL to set up their own version
I wonder if this has any connection to that court ruling to do with ‘what is a woman’ etc.
It was, wasn’t it? Didn’t the Ipswich captain and another player opt out last season?
You know, I actually don’t know the policy around it to be frank (Timely @shamrockgooner ‘Here’s the what the rules say’ post would be welcome).
Sam Morsy I think you’re thinking of. Didn’t that cause some controversy?
Everything should be a personal choice in the 21st century here, don’t you think….
PS I’m not a rainbow supporter in any way, but don’t mind if anybody wanna go that way
There was definitely a lot of chatter about it, but it was his choice to make and he made that choice.
I agree, why should anyone have to show support for something just because an organisation like the PL says you do.
Political and sport shouldn’t be mixed.
You have a heart of gold man
I do sometimes think in this day and age they should just stop all of it just so we don’t have to read the discourse.
No rainbow armbands, no anti-racism symbolism, no support for Ukraine, no poppies emblazoned on shirts, no more selective outrage about the mixing of politics and sport depending on whether you agree with the specific thing being supported that week.
You’re right jakeyboy. Politics wasn’t brought into football pre-2010s and the world was still a better place.
