Premier League 2025/26

What have I missed @Starboy and @GC-Maniac?

Kerkez was awful again and I mentioned how I never got the hype and why there were people that wanted him here, @Starboy implied you were one.

So, are you guilty or not?

Guilty as charged! I think my rationale in the summer was that I thought we needed an overlapping left-back, and didn’t see Calafiori in that position long-term. I don’t think he is as bad as people are saying, he just needs time to adjust and not sure Liverpool’s system is particularly effective.

Some players need time to settle. We’ve seen this with Calafiori last season. Would I swap Calafiori for Kerkez? Absolutely not! He has been amazing this season.

Nice run but also some favorable opponents in there

Typical Emery run

Looking at mid table with this lot in it is so funny.

Ayden Heaven is getting his first PL action in forever and having a total mare for United, pulled all over the place and just picked up a completely brainless yellow after eight minutes.

The strategy of buying only attackers paying off.

They are hilariously crap particularly since they aren’t in Europe or the League Cup and basically have the most rested squad in the league.

Scandalous stuff really. Look at any big team that had no Europe to worry about, they always get a boost off of the extra rest.
These bums have managed to get knocked out of the League Cup early as well so that’s additional rest.

And that’s not even mentioning they once again heavily invested in the summer and didn’t sacrifice any key players in the process.

Even Ange frauded his way to 5th place when his side was out of Europe.

Hmmm, I’m not complaining at all.

That said, Amorim’s obsession with 3-4-3 is much worse than when Arteta received similar criticisms for not being able to properly utilise players that didn’t fit his style.

Most players in world football can play in a 4-3-3 but the wing back and 10 roles in Amorim’s system are much tougher to find the right players for.

Dog shot system.

C’mon Sunderland and c’mon Brentford. Give us something to smile about today.

Get ready to have your dreams crushed.
